Exercise Calorie expenditure – Nordic Walking wins

Look at this comparison of your calorie burn with various exercises. the American Nordic Walking Assn recently put this out.  Amazing isn’t it?

Watch your diet and get a lot of sleep and eat your vegetables. Nordic Walk at least 3 times per week. It’s your body – do it for yourself.  You reap what you sow.  Get your mate into it. While fun alone for thinking time….or listening to tunes, with another person you talk and time flies.

Calorie Burning Rate per hour:
Nordic Walking – 600-900 Kcal.
Regular Walking – 240 Kcal.
Slow Jogging – 280 Kcal.
Swimming – 330 Kcal.

AND no joint pain. All these are great for you – but why not maximize your R.O.T. – return on time. A bonus is balance and stability.

Gang, this Nordic Walking thing  is still emerging in the US….dang, let’s get folks to realize  what it is. Too many people have no clue. It’s up to you to help spread the word.  How about entering a local 5K run or walk. Use your poles!  You will get a lot of looks and questions.
